VINYL SOUP will be back in Murfreesboro, TN for the second time on thursday August 5th at the Bluesboro Rhythm and Blues club. VINYL SOUP will be opening for local favorite UNDER SHADE. The show starts at 10pm. There is a $6 cover and all you can drink Domestic Drafts!!!

VINYL SOUP had a very awesome weekend performing at The Rock N Ride Fest, Six Flags. The show was a great success. VINYL SOUP would like to thank everyone for attending the show and for Brian Waymire for making such an awesome event happen for VINYL SOUP. We had a blast and we hope to make it back again next year.

VINYL SOUP is very excited and fortunate to have the opportunity to have (Brother) John Salaway join the band. John is a accomplished drummer and vocalist along with being a great songwriter, guitarist, engineer and producer. John has recently graduated from the Recording Engineering department at MTSU in Murphreesboro TN, and is now planning to hit the road and record full time with VINYL SOUP. John's many talents are sure to add many new depths to VINYL SOUP's sound.


Paul Allen Leaves VINYL SOUP

As of May 2004, Paul Allen has officailly left VINYL SOUP. Differences in musical and artistic expression along with touring schedule conflicts have forced him to leave the band. Best of luck to Paul and all his musical endeavors in the future. You may be able to see Paul perform in Nashville with his R & B band, Novatone.

During week 4/19/04 thru 4/25/04, VINYL SOUP made #1 on the Jazz Charts beating Sam Kinninger, a stellar jazz saxophonist from New England. VINYL SOUP was also #19 on the Top 30 radio chart.

On New York Air Waves

VINYL SOUP has been getting some pretty heavy radio play from a couple of stations in the Northeast. VINYL SOUP first hit the air waves on the first of March on 88.5 FM in Fairfield, CT. The show is hosted by Joe Kelley and can be heard on the internet at www.upperroomwithjoekelley.com.

The second radio station that has really been spinning VINYL SOUP is M3Radio.com. The station is aired out of New York, NY. Rotation week of 3/22/04 - 3/28/04, VINYL SOUP made #23 on the Top 30 Charts and #2 on the Jazz Charts falling in right behind Sam Kininger. Chart ratings were reported to CMJ on 3/30/04

 VINYL SOUP Adds  A New Ingredient

Vinyl Soup has added a new ingredient to their recipe, bassist DrewBud. DrewBud has relocated to Nashville from Boston. DrewBud has shared the stage with members of Soulive and the Neville Brothers. DrewBuds pocket for funk and latin grooves along with his incredible fingerstyle techinque will be a great new element added to VINYL SOUP.


 Evan Brewer Leaves VINYL SOUP

Bassist, Evan Brewer has officially left Vinyl Soup to pursue other musical interest. You might be able to see Evan performing live with Reflux, a Washington D.C. based heavy metal band.


Vinyl Soup Shooting Live DVD at Windows on the Cumberland

Vinyl Soup is very excited to announce that they will be shooting a live DVD performance at Windows on the Cumberland, thursday January 22nd. The DVD is going to be used for future promotional use. Please tell all of your friends and family to come out to the show and be a part of this very special event.
